1 in every 9 children born in the US is born premature.
As you sing live music or play live music to babies, especially premature babies their heart rates slow down, their breathing becomes steady and their oxygen saturation increases. It also helps improve suckling, it aids in sleeping and promotes quiet alertness. By relieving stress the babies and their bodies have more time to focus on development. Singing and playing music helps lower the stress levels of the parents too. Music therapy is something everyone can do!
